Katie is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.  She received her masters of education in community counseling from The University of Akron. Katie specializes in individual counseling for adults (ages 18+) utilizing an eclectic therapeutic approach with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Areas of treatment include depression, anxiety, mood disorders, bi-polar, OCD, psychosis, trauma, self-esteem issues, adjustment disorders, life stressors and transitions, relationship issues, and stress management.

Tony is a Psychiatric / Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is Board Certified.  Tony graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1997 and worked as a Registered Nurse in both medical and psychiatric inpatient and outpatient settings for several years. He returned to school in pursuit of his master's degree in psychiatric / mental health nursing and graduated with honors in 2009. Tony has 8 years’ experience as a psychiatric Nurse Practioner in outpatient, community mental health, and inpatient psychiatry. Tony provides individualized medication management for adult and geriatric clients and prescribes medication in accordance with the latest evidence based research. Areas of specialization include mood and anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, ADHD, and dementia.

HEATHER Rice phd, rn, cpnp-pc, pmhs

Dr. Heather M. Rice is a board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with additional certification and training in child and adolescent psychiatry. She received her Masters of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Philosophy degree from Case Western Reserve University. Heather has extensive experience working with children and adolescents in the community mental health setting. Her scope of practice includes, but is not limited to, working with issues related to ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma and childhood behavioral and emotional difficulties. Dr. Rice is very passionate about early identification and treatment as well as collaborating with other members of the psychiatric team such as counselors and school administration to ensure that all appropriate behavioral health interventions are in place.



Steve Pessefall, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Steve is Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) with a focus on providing treatment for a broad-spectrum of mental health disorders. He earned his Master of Science in Nursing Degree from The University of Akron and is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He has experience in inpatient, outpatient, as well as community mental health settings as a Nurse Practitioner and over 25 years of experience as a Registered Nurse working in psychiatric / behavioral health hospitals. Steve has also earned his credential for Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) from The University of Maryland.

Steve’s area of specialization includes mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD, schizophrenia, ADHD, childhood behavioral disorders, and a range of other disorders. He is licensed and certified to treat and provide individualized medication management services across the lifespan, from childhood to older adults, and has full prescriptive authority.
